About the foundation

The Gregory Odey Water Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the water crisis in Nigeria. Named after its founder, Gregory Odey, the foundation aims to provide sustainable access to clean water for communities in need, particularly in rural areas. We recognize the significant impact that lack of access to clean water has on communities, including health issues, economic challenges, and hindrances to education. Therefore, its primary focus is on implementing clean water interventions that not only provide immediate relief but also have long-term sustainability. Through our work, the Gregory Odey Water Foundation strives to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities in Nigeria by providing them with access to clean and safe water. By addressing the water crisis, the foundation aims to contribute to the overall development and well-being of the country.

Vision

The Gregory Odey Water Foundation in Nigeria envisions a future where every individual, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to clean and safe water. Our goal is to ensure that no one in Nigeria suffers from the lack of this basic necessity. We aim to reach out to communities, especially those in rural and underserved areas, and provide sustainable and lasting solutions for their water needs. By implementing innovative technologies and working closely with local stakeholders, we strive to improve water accessibility, quality, and sanitation facilities. Our vision encompasses not only the provision of clean water sources, but also the education and empowerment of communities to maintain and manage their water resources effectively. We believe in long-term impact and sustainability, which is why our approach involves community involvement, capacity building, and the cultivation of awareness regarding water preservation and hygiene practices. We also envision a society that understands the importance of equitable water distribution and the interconnectedness of water, health, and overall well-being. Through advocacy efforts and partnerships with government agencies, we aim to influence policies and promote the integration of water-related issues into national development plans. In summary, the Gregory Odey Water Foundation's vision is to create a future where everyone in Nigeria has access to clean and safe water, accompanied by improved sanitation and hygiene practices. We strive to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of individuals and communities by addressing water challenges and promoting sustainable solutions.
